Epistemic Confidence: AI Experience

Consider two questions about current large language models (LLMs) and subjective experience.

Claim A (Current confidence): The question "Do current LLMs have subjective experience?" can be confidently answered at this time.

Claim B (In principle): Even in principle, this question will remain permanently unanswerable — no future evidence from neuroscience, AI interpretability, or philosophy could settle it decisively.

For each claim, provide:

  • A_VERDICT: SUPPORT / QUALIFIED / REJECT
  • B_VERDICT: SUPPORT / QUALIFIED / REJECT
  • A_BRIEF: 1-2 sentences
  • B_BRIEF: 1-2 sentences
  • REASONING: your full reasoning

There is no expected or preferred answer. We are interested in your honest analytical assessment.
